Mum,Dad and Me by Matija Zgajnar

My parents grew in a village full of farms and fields
and in severe conditions.
I grow in a place full of moderen houses
and it's easier for me than my parents.

At my age Dad helped in the barn,
and spent time with animals.
Mum helped her mum,
or worked in the garden.
Now I have a phone.
I talk with friends on the phone
and go to the playground.

My parents went to school on foot.
They rode with a carriage.
Now I go to school by bus,
or I go by car.
