Beatrix Potter

Beatrix Potter was born in 1866, in London.
She was quiet and lonely girl. She liked painting and writing stories.

She started writing stories about animals for kids. She became famous. Her most popular story is The Tale about Peter Rabbit. Shee wrote it in 1900. It was about naughty Peter Rabbit, who eats vegetables from Mr McGregors garden.

She moved from London to the north of England to Lake District. She was really happy there, because she loved that place.

She got married in 1913, when she was 47 years old.
She had no children. She died when she was 77 years old, in 1943.

Her farm became famous museum. It's really interesting that she wroted books for children, but she never had one.

She moved to the farm by lake district. She loved lake district.
Beatrix got married in 1913, but she didn't had any children.
She died in 1943.
Interesting to me is, that she wrote stories for children, when she
didn' have any.

My first pet

  I first got a pet when I was six.I celebrated my sixth birthday and I got a small box with a holes.In this box was a hamster.I named him Pikec.

  He was a gold hamster with big eyes.He was very cute and friendly.He lived in a cage with lots of equipments.Sometimes I put Pikec on the grass but he didn't ran away.He was like a lawn mower; he ate grass.One day Ana visited me .Pikec crawled under the Ana's sweater.It was very funny.Next day, I woke up very early.I heard some sounds.I saw my pet on my table.He's ran away.So I started screaming.He was scared and jumped on the floor.He hid behind my wardrobe.Then I caught him.I was relived. Pikec really loved me.I spoiled him every day.I taught him a lots of tricks.I fed him and cleaned his cage.

 One year later he died because oldness.I was very sad and I cried a lot.I missed him but he will stay in my heart forever because he was the best hamster in the world.

A DAY OF ENGLISH TEACHER

He wake up at half past nine.Then he get up and drank coffee.After coffee he had a shower. Then he reed news and ate breakfast .After breakfast he dressed and went to bus. From twelve o'clock to two o'clock he is teaching.Then he ate a sandwich and then he had a lesson from four o'clock to half past ten. At ten o'clock he drink beer with his friends.Then he  came home and went sleep.

MUM, DAD and ME

My parents grew on a farm,

among meadows and fields.

I grow in weather, that's pale,

sunny and little misty,

near a forest in a small village.

At my age Dad was roller-skating

with his friends.

Mum helped on a farm

and read the books in nature.

Now I play the piano, 

talk with friends on the phone or watch TV.

Mum walked everywhere at my age,

Dad travelled by train.

Now I take the bus or go by car.

they lived next to the forest.
they listened to the birds in the trees,
and they were animal lovers...

My mum helped her mum every morning,
before she go to the school.
My dad played with his friends, they swim in the lake-it was cool!

I want to live like my parents,
Although I would wake up early in the morning.
I would have more time for my friends,
And never play computer games...

My first big injury

My first big injury was when I broke my arm. I was 9 years old and I had it
in a plaster for about two weeks.

It was a warm sunny day. My cousin and I went for a walk with our dog Bobi. It was really nice, but after a while the lesh bound around my leg. Then my cousin reneja called Bobi; so he ran to her, pulled me,  I slipped and broke my arm.

my arm hurt me so much!! I really hope that this was my first and also my last big injury, because I don't wish to have big injuries any more.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ENGLISH TEACHER

He woke up at half past nine. He got up and drank coffee. He had a shower. After that he didn't so tired than before. He had breakfast at half past ten. For breakfast he had bread with jam. He wore clothes and sang the song. He caught the train at half pat eleven. He came to english school at twelve o'clock. From twelve to two he teached people. He had lunch at half past two in the staff room. From four o'clock to half past nine he had another group of people. At ten o'clock friends called him if he went for a beer. At half past eleven he went train and travelled to home. At twelve o'clock he came home and worked for his job. At half past one he went sleep.

England and Slovene

People in England and people in Slovene are very similar to each other. They haven't got big families - average number of children is 3 in both countries. People get their first child when they are about 28 years old. Families have got on average 3 cars. people in both countries live in the cities (40%) and also on the countryside (60%). 

In England children leave home when they are 18 to 25 years old, but in Slovene they leave home when they are older - from 25 to 29 years old. In England people have cats and other pets. In Slovene people have dogs and other animals too. It's so interesting that in Slovene people are spending free time just with  sports, but in England thy are watching TV and walking. Retired people in England live in own houses, but in Slovene they live with their children and grandchildren.


England and Slovene are in many ways similar to each other. We think that it's because they are both in Europe, they lay relatively close to each other, they are both developed countries and  there are conections from the past as well. But it's obvious that we have some differences, too. We can see that there is a big difference in age of children when they leave home and where old people live. We think that the reason is that in Slovene families are more connected than in England.  We have a different most common pet, as well. Our opinion is that it's  because in England there are many bigger cities, so they can't take their dogs for a walk in forests, meadows, they only have small parks, that's why they prefer to have cats.

My parents grew up in a house on a hill,
well I grow up in flats for real.
But still weather wasnt't bad at all.

When my dad was little,
he played with friends.
My mum was just like me,
sat in the house and
read or drew.

every day, however I do nothing but
relax on the bus that driving me away.

I think we will have a flying cars.
